Files

Browse your computer's files from the phone, read and share them, and move files both ways.

The Files tab browses the computer over SFTP, the file protocol built into SSH, on the same connection as everything else. Nothing extra is installed, and it opens no port.

What you can do

  • Browse any folder your account can read; show hidden files when you need them.
  • Read text and code, rendered Markdown (with a switch to the source), and images with pinch zoom.
  • Save to phone: files land in Downloads/Link on the phone.
  • Open with another app on the phone, or Share a file.
  • Upload from the phone's file picker into the folder you're in.
  • Download as zip: a whole folder in one file, leaving out what its .gitignore ignores (build output, node_modules) but keeping new files you haven't committed.
  • New folder, rename, delete.

Transfers show their progress and can run while you keep browsing.
