Install Link Host

One command installs Link Host for your account and, on Linux, prints the code that pairs your phone.

curl -fsSL https://link.docs.razin.ai/install.sh | sh

Works on x86-64 and ARM64 with systemd (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch, openSUSE and their relatives). Link's SSH server also needs OpenSSH's server program on the computer; most desktops have it, and if yours doesn't, install your distribution's openssh-server (or openssh) package first.

curl -fsSL https://link.docs.razin.ai/install.sh | sh

Works on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Then follow macOS and Windows to connect your phone.

In PowerShell (no administrator rights needed):

irm https://link.docs.razin.ai/install.ps1 | iex

Works on x86-64 and ARM64. Then follow macOS and Windows to connect your phone.

What the installer does

Downloads the release for your computer from GitHub and checks it against the release's SHA256SUMS. A download that doesn't match is thrown away and nothing is installed.

Installs link-host for your account only.

ProgramStarts at login as
Linux~/.local/bin/link-hostsystemd user service link-host.service
macOS~/Library/Application Support/Link/Host/link-hostLaunchAgent com.falaq.link.host
Windows%LOCALAPPDATA%\Link\Host\link-host.exeScheduled task "Link Host"

Linux: turns on Link's SSH server and prints a pairing code. This is link-host ssh setup; it waits until your phone has scanned the code, then clears the screen. Continue with Pair your phone.

Running the same command again updates Link Host. On Linux an update keeps your paired phones and doesn't print a new code.

Options

Pass options to the script after sh -s --:

# a particular release
curl -fsSL https://link.docs.razin.ai/install.sh | sh -s -- --version 0.1.0

# install without turning on the SSH server or printing a code (Linux)
curl -fsSL https://link.docs.razin.ai/install.sh | sh -s -- --no-ssh

On Windows, set $env:LINK_HOST_VERSION = "0.1.0" before running the command to choose a release.

Check that it runs

link-host status
Link Host is running
  Version: 0.1.0
  Machine: Q2x7mVb9KdT4hNw8Rz1pYs3F
  Platform: linux/amd64
  Started: 2026-10-11T16:02:11+03:00

link-host doctor checks the machine identity, the running service, and what the desktop needs (FFmpeg, and GStreamer on Wayland). If your shell can't find link-host, add ~/.local/bin to your PATH (Linux), or use the full paths above.

Install by hand

Every release lists one archive per platform with its checksum in SHA256SUMS. To install without the script:

curl -fsSLO https://github.com/zraisan/link-host/releases/download/v0.1.0/link-host_0.1.0_linux_x86_64.tar.gz
curl -fsSLO https://github.com/zraisan/link-host/releases/download/v0.1.0/SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing
tar -xzf link-host_0.1.0_linux_x86_64.tar.gz
./link-host_0.1.0_linux_x86_64/install.sh

The archives are named link-host_VERSION_OS_ARCH: linux_x86_64, linux_aarch64, macos_x86_64, macos_arm64 (.tar.gz) and windows_x86_64, windows_arm64 (.zip, with install.ps1).

Unsigned builds

The macOS and Windows builds aren't signed or notarized yet. The one-line installers don't trip Gatekeeper or SmartScreen, but a binary opened from a browser download may be blocked until you allow it.
